Safe-Cure® 4000

Water-Based, White Pigmented Poly Alpha-Methylstyrene (PAMS) Emulsion Curing Compound

Safe-Cure® 4000 is a water-based, white pigmented poly alpha-methylstyrene (PAMS) emulsion curing compound for freshly placed concrete.

When applied to new concrete, Safe-Cure® 4000 forms a film to retain water and promote superior hydration of cement to achieve maximum design strength and durability. Use of Safe-Cure® 4000 will minimize shrinkage cracks while reflecting sunlight to reduce surface temperatures during the curing process.

Uses

  • Safe-Cure® 4000 is used to cure exterior concrete including pavement, curbing, sidewalks, parking lots, median barriers and foundations
  • Curing compound for mass concrete, dams, bridges, pavements and structures requiring a higher level of curing efficiency

Advantages

  • Exceeds the requirements of both ASTM C309 and ASTM C1315 specifications
  • Superior moisture retention
  • Exceptional stability and spraying characteristics - will not clog spray equipment
  • White pigment reflects sunlight to reduce surface temperatures and helps gauge coverage and application rate
  • Stable emulsion, will not hard pack in container
  • Meets the performance specifications of many state Departments of Transportation
