ASTM C-1107

This is the most common specification covering three grades of non-shrink grout:

Grade refers to the expansive mechanism

Grade A Pre-Hardening Volume-Adjusting: Volume control of grout is caused by expansion before hardening occurs.
Grade B Post-Hardening Volume-Adjusting: Volume control of grout is caused by expension after grout hardens.
Grade C Combination Volume-Adjusting: Volue control of grout is caused by a combination of both mechanisms.

1 If post-hardening expansion occurs during evaluation of a Grade A material, then the material shall be evaluated according to the Grade C criteria.

2 If pre-hardening expansion occurs during evaluation of a Grade B material, then the material shall be evaluated according to the Grade C criteria.
