The “A” Team

The Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) regulations reduced the allowable VOC for concrete curing & sealing compounds in many areas* to less than 350 grams per liter. This action eliminated all traditional solvent-based products from the market. ChemMasters offers excellent, field-tested, cost-effective, water-based concrete sealers alternatives which are all VOC compliant including:

Many feel that solvent-based products are better than their water-based counterparts because they provide superior gloss and penetrate better into the concrete. Solvent-based products can be used in a wider range of temperatures, cannot freeze, will not settle out, are not susceptible to bacteria growth and can be used in re-coat applications.

For these reasons, ChemMasters has created the “A” team.

These products are all solvent based, all VOC compliant in the areas affected by the OTC regulations and all meet the same high performance standards as their higher VOC counterparts.

Introducing
Spray-Cure & Seal 25-A
Styrenated acrylic sealer that provides excellent curing for fresh concrete and superior sealer protection for older concrete.
Polyseal-A
Non yellowing acrylic cure & seal that develops excellent gloss and a tint system of twelve standard colors.
Silencure-A
The same great properties as our standard Silencure including excellent curing efficiency and long-term silane protection even when applied to fresh concrete.
Crystal Clear-A
The same combination of ingredients as regular Crystal Clear to supply superior long-term gloss and protection for decorative concrete, but in a VOC exempt solvent.
Traz 25-A
High gloss, non-yellowing sealer for decorative, exposed aggregate and standard concrete.

Crystal Clear-A

Crystal Clear-A is premium quality, super high gloss, non yellowing, curing and sealing compound.  Crystal Clear-A is a state-of-the-art proprietary formulation which creates the highest gloss possible on concrete.  Crystal Clear-A coats concrete with a chemically bonded siliconized acrylic film that deepens the color and enhances the look of pigmented or decorative concrete.  Crystal Clear-A completely resists discoloration from ultraviolet light exposure. It is extremely abrasion resistant and keeps its high gloss finish much longer than standard concrete sealers. Crystal Clear-A will retard efflorescence while resisting oil, grease and food stains. Crystal Clear-A eliminates concrete dusting, while protecting concrete against salt and water penetration.

Polyseal-A is high solids, V.O.C. compliant, concrete curing and sealing compound.  This state-of-the-art proprietary formulation completely resists discoloration from ultraviolet light exposure, creating a glossy membrane which remains clear throughout its service life.  Also has a tint system of twelve standard colors.

Silencure-A

Silencure-A is a solvent-based, pure acrylic copolymer curing and sealing compound for concrete. When applied to fresh concrete, Silencure-A produces a non-yellowing, clear, continuous film, which effectively cures fresh concrete and provides a tough protective acrylic film to the surface.  Silencure-A is unique because in addition to being an effective film forming curing and sealing compound, it contains silane.  The silane penetrates the fresh concrete and provides long term protection for the concrete after the film has dissipated. Unlike other silane or siloxane treatments, Silencure-A can be applied to fresh concrete to cure to ASTM C-309 standards.  Unlike other curing compounds, Silencure-A penetrates into the pores of the concrete and forms a hydrophobic gel that meets the chloride ion restrictions of NCHRP 244 to reduce the penetration of water, salts and deicing chemicals.

Spray-Cure & Seal 25-A is a styrene acrylate copolymer, membrane forming curing and sealing compound for concrete.  It produces a medium gloss continuous film which has good resistance to discoloration from ultraviolet light exposure and protects concrete surfaces from intrusion of water borne contaminants and dirt.
